At Spotless, our clinicians are Board-Certified and Licensed Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, trained in Dr. Amy Wechsler’s methods for treating acne.

Yes, we do not treat babies or children under 8 years old. 

Yes, however, if you are under 18, you will need your parent or guardian to accompany you for your initial treatment, where they can give permission by signing a form that allows you to come in on your own going forward.

Yes, we can treat you if you are pregnant or breastfeeding! Some treatments may need to be postponed, but your clinician will advise you on the available treatment options.

Our treatments include pimple shots, acne peels, and extractions. We also offer consultations that may lead to a prescription and follow-ups. 

After a consultation with one of our clinicians, we often prescribe topical and/or oral medications. These include: topical retinoids like adapalene (Differin) and tretinoin (Retin-A), topical antibiotics like clindamycin, topical azelaic acid, oral low dose doxycycline, oral contraceptive pill, spironolactone, and isotretinoin (Accutane). In the case of prescriptions, regular follow-ups will ensure the best outcome. 

No, you do not need to book a consultation to receive a treatment. However, you do need to have a consultation with one of our clinicians before they can prescribe any medication.

Yes, you need to book a consultation to be prescribed any medication. Our clinicians will also discuss a complete treatment plan with you during your visit.

Yes, we offer telemedicine appointments for follow-ups. 

We want to see you in person for your consultation!

Treatments cannot be performed via telemedicine (we haven’t figured out how to administer a pimple shot on Zoom!).

Yes, we treat acne anywhere that you have it!

Your Spotless clinician will personalize your treatment plan and let you know if any follow-up appointments are recommended. Some treatments and prescriptions require follow-ups, while others don’t. You’ll also receive any necessary aftercare instructions before you leave your visit.

We love walk-ins!  If it’s more convenient for your schedule, you can schedule an appointment on our website and mobile site.

We know life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know within 24 hours of your appointment by logging into your account or giving us a call. There’s no fee to reschedule, but cancellations within 24 hours will incur a $20 fee.  

If you’re unable to make your appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. If you miss an appointment without letting us know, you will incur a $50 fee.  

Running late? Please let us know by calling the clinic at 212-335-0482.  If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you may have to wait.

Pimple shots, acne peels, extractions, and follow-ups are $100.

Consultations are $250

3 Treatment package at a 10% discount for a total of $270.

5 Treatment package at a 15% discount for a total of $425.

10 Treatment package at a 20% discount for a total of $800.

You are buying credits for future visits at Spotless.  The credits can be used for follow-ups and treatments including pimple shots, acne peels, extractions.

No, you don’t need to buy a package to come to Spotless. You can pay for your treatments or follow-ups per visit.

If you’re interested, we do offer package options that many of our patients love, since they can save 10–20% on future services.

No, we don’t take insurance.  We can provide you with a receipt for insurance, including a detailed list of services provided and diagnosis codes, which you can submit to your carrier.

Yes!  If your HSA or FSA provides a benefits card and Spotless treatments qualify as eligible medical expenses, you can use your card for payment. Please confirm eligibility with your plan provider.

Yes! We offer a 10% military discount. Bring your military ID to your appointment and show it to us when you check in!

Yes, we do! Every patient can refer a friend for a $10 credit off their first treatment (new patients only; one time use).  For every new patient you refer, you will also receive a $10 credit to your Spotless account, up to a maximum of $100 per month. If you refer more than 10 new patients per month, your credits may roll over to the next month. You can access your unique referral code in your Spotless account.
