1. The acne myth I wish people would stop believing is that Accutane is toxic!
2. My go-to comfort food after a long clinic day is (frozen) pizza from one of my NYC favorites - L'industrie, Fini, Mamma's Too…
3. One piece of acne advice I give on repeat is to be consistent with your prescribed routine because acne medications take about 6-8 weeks to start working!
4.When I am not treating acne, you can find me practicing yoga, cooking, or spending time with friends and family.
Colette
Colette received her Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Virginia and then went on to earn her Family Nurse Practitioner degree and Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
1. What’s the most common acne myth you wish people would stop believing?
(Your hot take.)
That acne happens because your skin is “dirty.” In reality, it’s a complex condition driven mostly by genetics and hormones — not how hard you scrub your face.
2. Go-to comfort food after a long clinic day? (Bonus points if it’s NYC-specific.) Everything on the menu St. Jardim
3. When you’re not treating acne, you’re…(Fill in the blank — Pilates, reading thrillers, chasing toddlers, training for a half marathon.) Searching for the best fro-yo in the city.
Spotless can see you now — like, right now.
We’re open six days a week, from early until late — because acne doesn’t stick to a 9–5.
